Ok so with Christmas coming up, I’m going to need to start thinking about presents. One of the presents I’m planning on giving people (sorry for the spoilers guys!) is some tasty treats. This recipe for shortbread is potentially the easiest, simplest recipe I’ve ever put on this blog. You guys will love it.
So what you’ll need is:
150g plain flour
50g caster sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
I’m not even joking. That’s literally everything you need.
So you’ll want to preheat your oven to about 160°C. This is where the fun starts. Basically put all of your ingredients in the bowl & mix it together with your hands.
Cover your work surface with flour & turn out the dough. Roll it out to about 1/2 inch thick then grab your cookie cutter! I’m planning on getting some more Christmas-y cookie cutters. Maybe a tree or something…
Anyway! Cut away & pop your cookies onto the baking tray. Bake for approx 10-25 mins. I know that’s a huge gap but my oven is quite a cold oven so it took the whole 25 minutes. If you’ve got a hot oven, time it for 10 & then check it.
Dust them with a bit of caster sugar while they’re cooling & voila! Done! Enjoy…
