Two Ingredient Pizza!

Two Ingredient Pizza Dough 7

Delicious right?

I love pizza. Not like love pizza as in “Sure, we can have pizza, whatevs”, more like “I love pizza with every fibre of my being”. It’s a true, honest & open love affair. So when I stumbled across the idea of making pizza dough with two (two!!!) ingredients I couldn’t pass it up. It’s the simplest thing I’ve ever made to be honest. You spend more time decorating the dough with the toppings then you do making the base – it’s that easy!

So without further ado, here’s what you’ll need:
1 cup of Greek yoghurt
1 cup of self raising flour

Pizza toppings, we used:
Tomato sauce
Shredded mozzarella
Capsicum (peppers)
Pepperoni
Mushrooms
Red onions
Pineapple (on my half)
Anchovies (on the Bossman’s half)

Preheat your oven to 220° Celsius while you mix up your dough. Mix together the yoghurt & self raising flour before turning out onto a floured surface & knead for about five minutes. Dough = done.

Roll it out into the desired shape before placing onto your pizza tray. Now the great thing about this recipe is that you can either make one large pizza with a delicious thick crust or two medium sized pizzas with thin, crispy bases – up to you!

Once you’ve got the dough in the pan cover it liberally with your tomato or pizza sauce. Because the Bossman & I simply couldn’t be bothered on the night in question to make a tomato sauce from scratch we just bought one. Now, before you start layering on your toppings, put on a layer of shredded cheese. This is an old-fashioned pizza trick. The melting cheese on top of the toppings will mix with this layer & you’ll get deliciously cheesey, wonderful pizza!

Now start layering on your toppings, making sure to be artistic & thoughtful in your food placement ^^

Once you have your pizza well & truly heaped on top, layer on a second layer of cheese before popping in the oven for about 35 minutes or less if your oven is a bit hotter than mine. When you take it out it should look like this:

All browned to perfection with gooey melting cheese & crispy edges.

Slice it all up & there you have it! Dig in! The easiest pizza dough recipe that ever was. Now the fun part is coming up with different toppings!

But seriously take a look at that ^^

Who wouldn’t want to take a big bite out of their computer screen right about now…?

Go on, one more photo… “Say cheese!”

  • Lucy, please stop making everyone hungry. Put your pizza away (no pun intended). :p Looks amazing!

    • Haha thank you Heba!! It’s kind of making me hungry now too…

  • This looks so tasty – I’m intrigued! Greek yogurt is involved in so many recipes, but I’m always so reluctant to try due to its sour taste. But, especially with the veggies involved, this looks delectable!

    • You should definitely give it a go! You can’t taste the sourness of the Greek yoghurt at all once the pizza is done. It literally tastes exactly like regular pizza, it’s just a million times easier! Plus because it’s such a simple dough you really can top it with everything. I’ve tried it with spicier chorizo, garlic prawns & am pretty keen to try it with chicken & a chipotle sauce!
