Bats & Bows

I love a good graphic tee. These days with the advent of ‘business-casual’ dressing, I adore the way you can pair a graphic tee with a pencil skirt for the office. It’s definitely made my wardrobe go much farther than it used to. This one is a new favourite.

I was invited to Fashion Weekend Sydney by my friends at Vaniday (have you checked out the app? It’s amazing! Beauty appointments made at the touch of a button!) & I went with my gorgeous girlfriend who runs the amazing fashion blog Watt 2 Wear. The day was amazing, fashion pop up stores as far as the eye could see, a Moet bar, a private VIP area (we bought VIP tickets, naturally) & a runway show.

One of the fashion pop ups was Zoe Karssen. I’ve absolutely loved her designs from day one but I’ve only see pieces for sale on Shopbop & mistakenly skipped past them. Not this time. I tried on two tees & a pair of jeans & honestly? You guys, these are the comfiest jeans I now own. I’m still in shock. Plus the tees are made from the softest cotton I think I’ve ever touched are the designs are fab. I couldn’t go past this bat one! Plus, I’m obsessing over the bows on these gorgeous Kate Spade espadrilles – picked up for a song at Amazon!

Leather jackets tend to have a bit of a tough edge. They’ve been worn traditionally by bikers  & bad boys for decades. Now, I absolutely adore my black leather biker-style jacket. But sometimes, it can be a little bit too tough. That’s where a waterfall style leather jacket comes into play. The styling softens the black leather edginess & gives it more versatility. This is the type of jacket you can wear over a dress on date night or with a shirt & pencil skirt at the office. It’s tough enough to mean business but doesn’t play too hard & fast. In short: you need it in your arsenal, uh I mean wardrobe!
