Feeling Floral In Hyde Park

Here I am! With a fashion post! I swear, this blog is heading straight back to regular programming, that’s for sure! Things have been crazy busy and last weekend we all went out to a formal dinner in the city at the Sheraton On The Park. I had a dress planned to wear but, to be honest at the last minute (like literally the night before the event) I decided I wanted to wear something else! Something a little…bloomin’ marvellous, you could say – just like this perfect floral dress

On the way home from work, I decided to stop off at David Jones in the city – my home away from home – and found this beautiful floral number. It’s from a label called Kachel, an Australian bran that designs stunning dresses and tunics in gorgeous, unique prints. Whilst I tried on 7 thousand (approx.) dresses, this was the first one I spotted. I kind of knew it was going to be the one to be honest!

Here’s some more beautiful dark floral maxi dresses I’ve found…

Now, for those who don’t know, the Night Noodle Markets are on in Hyde Park and I’m dying to go. It’s an annual event where a whole heap of vendors set up stalls in the park. They all serve piping hot, delicious noodles of the Thai, Chinese, Vietnamese, you-name-it-they-got-it persuasion along with a good helping of beer or Sauv Blanc. Divine. Remember, it’s not on forever, so you’d better hit Hyde Park sometime soon or you’ll miss out!

Vintage Chanel…

Introducing my newest acquisition/love – this gorgeous vintage Chanel bag. I have been after a gorgeous vintage Chanel for years. I finally found my forever bag (or at least my first!) on Fashionphile just recently. Now, I was initially after the classic flap. But, when I saw this one with it’s multiple strand chain strap – complete with black leather bow – and understated logo, I was sold with a capital S. My whole experience with Fashionphile was seamless (and this is 100% not an ad – I wish it were!) and the bag turned up so quickly in amazing condition. I’ve rustled up a few more beyond amazing vintage Chanel bags for you to peruse…

Now check out these amazing looking models! The Mothership and the Bossman came with me to the formal dinner and I couldn’t help it – I had to take at least one photo. I mean, seriously, how smashingly good do they look?! I think my personal favourites are the pearls and the plaid bow tie. I’d like to think I get my dress sense from these too!
