Scarlet Spring Dress at Duckrabbit Gallery

As I write this post it’s windy and rainy and just generally terrible, weather-wise, in Sydney. I think everyone’s praying that this very un-Australian weather vanishes ASAP! In the meantime, to warm you up, here’s some photos we took last Friday night. The Mothership’s friend, Geoffrey Gifford – an amazingly talented artist and sculptor – held the opening of his art exhibition at Duckrabbit Gallery, a very exclusive and secret little gallery on Little Everly Street in Redfern. The weather was beautiful that night thank God, all warm and breezy!

I pulled out this old favourite dress of mine – one that I got for a steal at H&M last summer. I usually pair it with tan accessories but I decided to do something a little different tonight. When you have a mother who literally has a PhD in colour, you tend to think outside the box – hue know what I mean? So it was burgundy pieces plus these amazing Aquazurra sandals I found on ridiculously amazing sale at Shopbop.

{Dress: H&M (similar), Sandals: Aqauzurra, Purse: Kate Spade, Belt: Lucky Brand, Watch: Kate Spade, Lipstick: Dior ‘Lucky’}

When a dress is this flippy, you gotta take it for a test-drive! ^^

Since my dress is no longer available, I’ve found a whole boatload of gorgeous red, cold shoulder dresses to keep you in business for months!

I’m so in love with these sandals! I always believe it’s best to buy quality designer – especially in shoes and bags. Find out why here.

Follow me!! Into Duckrabbit Gallery we go…

I’m kind of a little obsessed with their logo ^^ it’s a duck and a rabbit at the same time! Once you see it…

Geoffrey’s works are amazing! We couldn’t resist that dreamy blue one on the left – it’s coming home with us when the exhibition ends!

Go check out Geoffrey’s exhibition at Duckrabbit Gallery now! You won’t be disappointed! Until next time…
