Winter in a summer city is always such a strange feeling. Everyone around the world associates Sydney & Australia in general with hot weather, blue skies, high temps & beautiful sandy beaches. Whilst Sydney is a lovely place in the summertime with long sunny days & warm nights, wintertime is a whole different ballgame. The city is practically devoid of tourists (which makes doing anything at Circular Quay that much easier, just quietly), the trees are bare but the skies are still, more or less, pretty blue. It can be a little harder getting up in the mornings when the sun doesn’t rise until you’re practically on your way to work but sometimes when you do see that dawn it can be prettier than most.
